MANGO LYNX
Vocals, Songwriting, Production, Choreography, Voice Acting, Writing
Miami-born to Cuban parents, Mango Lynx is a creative spirit with many hats.
Sonically, Mango’s music is a diverse hybrid of genres influenced by Latin Pop, Drum and Bass, Salsa, R&B, and a 90s upbringing in Miami's tropical heat.
The nuanced Spanish and African roots in Mango’s Cuban heritage met with a first-gen American identity is sensible in the experimental Latin Pop influence that meets ancestral downloads, coros de clave and Caribbean sazón.
Undergrad at CalArts and later travels as an independent dance-theater choreographer in Europe lead Mango into the underground world of raving, Jungle, Drum and Bass.
Additionally, Mango’s ever-evolving sexuality, extensive background in somatics, relational intimacy, pleasure coaching, sexual empowerment, writing and voice acting for women-owned audio erotica company QUINN, years of professional experience as a dancer, swer and ethnography researcher,
all inform a rich songwriting process.
Mango writes and vibrates between Spanish, English and Spanglish to original music compositions produced by Mango, co-produced by Adrian Febres aka RAF91B.
Mango’s commitment to creative play and pleasure is a reminder to us all that when we fully embrace our human experience and access self-healing in a world that works hard to disconnect us from our bodies, the land and each other — we re-write the futures we wish to see.
basically, stay jugando y perreando
